My Father's House ON ANY GIVEN NIGHT IN Multnomah County, more than 3,064 families are homeless. Over half this population is children.
My Father’s House (MFH) is a transitional shelter that seeks to servehomeless families by helping them acquire the life skills to become independent and productive. MFH provides a safe community where families can experience Christ’s love and acceptance. It is the only shelter in Portland that takes families with children up to age 18. MFH recently expanded its facilities to house 120 families each year. Mosaic partners with My Father’s House to come alongside homeless families, both inside the shelter and as they transition back into the community. More: www.familyshelter.org.
