Melissa Slate · Be’er Sheva, Israel
 Melissa Slate represents Mosaic, in partnership with the Christian & Missionary Alliance, to Be’er Sheva, Israel, through a year-long position at the Negev Outreach Center. She volunteers in a number of ministries, including a Messianic church, a believer-owned coffee and book shop and a rehabilitation center where she serves in the soup kitchen and teaches English.
Melissa spent six months studying Hebrew, which she now uses to build relationships with locals. She loves walking around her neighborhood, interacting with shop owners and tasting exotic fruit at the shuk (open market).
