Mosaic Resident Church Planter Tom Vice is launching Lifehouse, a church plant in the Woodstock neighborhood of SE Portland. His vision is that Lifehouse will be a Christ-centered and culturally relevant community that reaches those who have never entered a church. As Lifehouse moves closer to launch, they are focusing on the following:
- Twice-monthly gatherings:
- The first gathering is a worship/teaching event where people can get a sense of who Lifehouse is and connect with our faith community.
- The second is more informal. We serve breakfast and connect relationally before having a casual time of worship and teaching.
- Groups:
- This fall we'll have five different groups available for people to connect to connect relationally, which is a core value of Lifhouse.
- Neighborhood involvement:
- Our neighborhood involvement is spreading out throughout southeast Portland. People are catching the vision of being a church woven into the fabric of the community.
- This summer, we volunteered at Lewis Elementary where we meet to clean the grounds, help the custodial crew inside the building and collect backpacks filled with school supplies for families in our community.
- This fall, we will mentor at a local middle school and plan events for the neighborhood.
