Serve PDX is probably the coolest thing you’ll do all summer. Or close to it. Spend five days of hanging out with younger kids at Mosaic Art Camp and My Father’s House Family Shelter, followed by two days rafting on the Deschutes River. Art Camp

Daily, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM, from 07/13/2009 to 07/17/2009

Art Camp is a place for kids to learn about God's love while doing art. This year campers will learn about creation care while making art out of recycled materials. Register your kids and their friends by June 15. Kids from the Hollywood neighborhood, Mosaic Kids and their friends are all welcome.

Art Camp is for kids entering kindergarten through leaving 5th grade.

Artists Connect: Raku Firing

Mosaic artists: enjoy a nice summer evening, refreshments and meeting other artists over a raku firing demonstration by Mosaic potter Tamara Bryan. We’ll also start brainstorming Mosaic arts opportunities for the fall.
Raku pottery is created with a specific firing process that uses fire and smoke to create unique patterns and designs. The process requires a special kiln that reaches 1800°F and finishes in roughly 30 minutes.
