Artists Connect: Raku Firing

Wednesday, July 15, 2009, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Coordinator: Mackenzie Bartels ()

Tamara Bryan’s House: 7045 N Boston Ave, 97217
Mosaic artists: enjoy a nice summer evening, refreshments and meeting other artists over a raku firing demonstration by Mosaic potter Tamara Bryan. We’ll also start brainstorming Mosaic arts opportunities for the fall.
Raku pottery is created with a specific firing process that uses fire and smoke to create unique patterns and designs. The process requires a special kiln that reaches 1800°F and finishes in roughly 30 minutes.
